From event map to practice run

  1. Choose the active site package first. Beeville, Selma, Lincoln and Katy have real aerial/elevation frames. Lincoln covers both Nationals courses, test-and-tune and paddock; import your desired East/Plane Side or West/Corn Side event map.
  2. Import a clear overhead map or PDF page. Phone photos need to be flattened first; perspective correction is not included.
  3. Set scale from a known distance. A map marked “not to scale” can only produce an approximation. Course size in Align course to site provides a visual percentage slider with 1% buttons; it fine-tunes the fit and does not supply a measured distance for a map with no ruler.
  4. Detect cones, then add, move or remove candidates. Click + Pointer to insert one, then drag the round handle at its tip to aim it. Select any existing pointer to show the direction slider, quarter-turn buttons and Flip 180°. Flip all pointers reverses every pointer; Undo restores the previous directions.
  5. Place each gate with two clicks: left edge, then right edge when looking in the driving direction. Place the car before the start gate with a click at the spawn and a second click ahead of it. Check the gate arrows; use Reverse start/finish to flip them.
  6. Turn on the site overlay, align pavement landmarks, then review the course. Beeville's Day 1 and Day 2 examples share one aerial/LiDAR frame. Other locations attach their own aerial, terrain and scenery to your imported map. In Align course to site, drag the round rotation-dial handle or use the slider to turn the whole course. Quarter-turn and 1° buttons help with coarse and fine alignment; hold Shift while dragging for 15° steps. Undo restores one full rotation gesture. Click Move course to drag the course image over the aerial. The pixel location fields update live and remain available for fine adjustments. Click Done moving or press Escape to return to cone editing; each drag is one Undo step. Exact angle and scale remain available below the dial. The setup HUD shows the active frame, origin and north/grid guide.
  7. Review the layout and download the ZIP. Extract and copy its content and apps folders into Assetto Corsa's installation folder, or try importing it in Content Manager.
  8. Select the new track and a solo Practice session. Cross the start gate to begin timing and the finish gate to stop. Restart the session to return to the spawn and restore cones. Returning to pits alone may leave moved cones in place.

The site packages use fixed aerial ground frames, sampled public elevation and concrete/asphalt/grass masks. Visible aerial paint and pavement markings remain in the ground texture. Each course map is a separate layer projected onto that fixed site. Scenery positions and dimensions are approximate; elevation represents broad grade rather than surveyed pavement bumps. Movable cones use Assetto’s native physics. Hundreds of objects increase physics and replay load; try Upright only or Visual only if performance suffers. Automatic penalties require installing the included apps folder and opening JPMC Autocross Scoring in CSP. The overlay reports its own raw and adjusted times; it does not change Assetto’s native lap results. Each upright cone counts once per run; pointers are excluded. Timing and cone behavior still require in-game testing. Asphalt patches change appearance only. This is a validation build; the final in-game check must happen on your PC.

Each site keeps its own workspace in this browser. Changing Active site saves the current course and opens the selected site's aerial or previously saved course. Returning to a site restores its map, alignment, cones and gates. Reload reopens the last active site, including an aerial-only view. Use Save editable project for a portable copy. Open project / ZIP can recover the editable map, alignment, cones and gates from a track ZIP previously exported by this app. Restore map view shows both layers and fits them on screen. Browser data clearing can remove automatic saves. No external AI service is used. The Physics test example is a small, known-scale test pad: cross start, hit the center cone, then cross finish.
